  • How do I choose the best option for my family?
    Please see the photo gallery of our shares. Depending on growing conditions, we try to have the same box content list each season. Full and Lite shares are weekly and half-shares are every two weeks.
  • How much does a CSA Share cost?
    We offer different share options and price points. Please refer to the About CSA or ​Sign Up pages for pricing details.
  • How do I sign up for Rochon Garden CSA share?
    You can sign up online or by phone at 613-821-3245. When signing up, you can either choose from 9 convenient pick-up locations across the Ottawa area, or you can choose to have us deliver to your home. Your start date will be indicated in your confirmation email after sign up. ​ Pick-up times and dates are included on detail pages linked above.
  • How should I prepare for my first pickup?
    After signing up for a CSA share, you will receive a confirmation email from This email will include all the details required for pick-up. Please allow 1-2 business days to receive your confirmation email. Please ensure you have a re-useable bag with you at pick-up. You will be asked to empty the contents of the crate into your own bag. For quick and easy storage when you get home, we encourage you to bring reusable produce bags and containers to each pick-up. ​
  • What if I miss a box pick up?
    If you are unable to make your pick-up, we encourage you to ask someone to come on your behalf. They simply have to give your name at the time of pick-up. ​ Unfortunately, members who forget to pick up their boxes will lose their share for that week, it will be donated to a local food bank. Please note that replacement shares will not be issued and refunds will not be given. ​
  • How does Home Delivery work?
    Your freshly picked vegetables are packed with care in a recyclable cardboard delivery box. Early in the morning, your share is placed in our delivery vehicles to come direct to you. Our drivers arrive at your home between the hours of 6:00 am - 6:00 pm. They will, then, place your share in the most shaded area, or the spot you have specified for us. The cardboard boxes act as a great insulator and protector against the elements. Important Information You may also provide a cooler if you wish to have extra piece-of-mind. We have found the Coleman 45L Cooler to be the best fit for the delivery box. Before you sign up for your share, visit our Home Deliveries Signup Page, check the map to ensure you fall within our delivery zone. We are not responsible for missing or stolen shares. Customers must provide a safe drop-off location for the delivery of their share. Delivery staff will deliver to the exterior of the home, they are not permitted to deliver inside buildings or entryways for their safety. You can sign up through our CSA sign-up page or by phone at 613-821-3245. There is an additional charge of $7.00 per box for home delivery. This is included in the total price when you sign up. Shares can only be delivered to one address provided at the beginning of the season. Exceptions will be made for those members who move to a new address during the CSA season.
  • Will I know in advance what will be in my box?
    CSA members are automatically added to our weekly newsletter, What's Growing on at Rochon Garden, at the start of the season. Our newsletter gives you a glimpse of what's coming out of our fields and updates from the farm. The newsletter includes a list of products in your share and a picture of the CSA share for the week. We also include helpful storage tips and recipes for preparing meals with the produce in your share. ***NOTE*** Items listed in the email are subject to availability.   • What if I can't make a pick-up because I'm on vacation?
    You can request to move your box to another week. This will result in a double box for some members or getting a box on a week that is regularly not scheduled. This request must be sent by email to at least 1 week prior to your scheduled pick-up. Please include the date of the box you will be missing, the date you would instead like to receive your box and most importantly the name or email that the account is under. ​ Alternatively, you may have someone pickup in your place. They would collect using your name when picking up, please advise them to bring bags. Please note that shares can be deferred to another week once per season for Half Share members and twice per season for Full Share, Lite Share and Summer Share members. ​
  • Can I pick up my CSA Share at a Farmers Market?
    Unfortunately, we are not able to have our CSA Shares available at our markets. ​ Our CSA boxes are made fresh each morning on the farm. There is a lot of preparation, packing and setup involved with having our CSA shares available and ready at our pickup locations. For logistical reasons, it would be very difficult for our market locations to also serve as CSA pickup.
  • How do I claim my referral bonus?
    For each new customer you refer to our CSA program, you will be rewarded. You may choose to claim a free additional box of vegetables during the same season, or you will receive a coupon code by email before registration of the following season. ​ New customers are asked during their CSA registration to indicate who referred them. Please ensure that the new customers you have referred indicate so when completing the registration questions. If they are unsure or have forgotten, please have them email ​ In order to claim your free additional box, please email with at least 1 week's notice to see if the week you would like to add is available ( ​ Members who referred a new member during the season will be sent an email in January with a coupon code to enter at Checkout.
