Open Farm Events

Over the course of the last two weekends, we opened the farm up to visitors. We all really enjoyed seeing new and familiar faces! Despite some undesirable weather we had a great turn out.

The kids went on an adventure searching for objects around the farm, once they completed their adventure they received a treat, a big hit! Visitors also enjoyed games and treats in the big barn. The biggest excitement came when the kids (big and small!) saw our new Rochon Express. Train engineer, Josh, drove the train around the greenhouses and everyone had a barrel of laughs!

Visitors got a chance to see and learn about our farm and how fresh fruits and vegetables get from our farm to their table. They got to see the greenhouses in full swing, visited with our chicks and at the end planted a seed of their own to take home. From seeding to picking, we shared the rewards and struggles of farming. Farming is a passion of everyone who works with us everyday and we love sharing that passion with you. We enjoy teaching the next generation about eco-responsible farming and the steps we're taking to ensure this land is preserved for generations to come.

If you came to the farm during our Open Farm events, you were giving a ballot with chance to win a half-share or one of three Sampler boxes. The winners have been chosen and they are, drum roll please!

On behalf of the entire Rochon Garden team, a very big thank you everyone who came out for a visit and for allowing us to share our passion with you. Here's to the start of another great season!
